Abstract Art uses shapes, colors, and strokes to create a representation of an image, a feeling, or a recollection. It can be a hint of a familiar emotion, a soothing image, or something complex.
In today’s class we will create an abstract watercolor painting using three shapes and three colors. We’ll use forms and composition to create images that may evoke memories, feelings, or simply, something of interest.
Welcome to Abstract Watercolor Painting- Shapes, the second class in my Abstract Watercolor Painting class series. In this class you will learn how to paint basic shapes to form a composition. I'll show you how I layer shapes of all different types and work them all together, and I'll do it illustrating two unique projects; the random random painting of shapes with no plan at all, and a more pre-planned composition. Both are so much fun and very relaxing.

Personalize your home or office space with an abstract watercolor painting and ink drawing.
I often use an architectural reference to create my line drawings. In this class I'll share that process with you so that you can create your own unique wall art.
